We are working with the wonderful people at Melrose Hospitality to do a pop-up at Culver City’s The Corner Door. Along with the Southern California Whisky Club. A blended whisky tasing along with a couple of cocktails. All proceeds will go to charity.
What we do
Consultation
If you have a bar that needs some improvement or are about to open a place we can help hone your vision. We will help create a cocktail menu that will delight your patrons and improve your sales.
Cocktails
We looked at the delightful presentation and thoughtful cocktail menus of Europe. Then reveled in the creativity and breadth of ingredients served in Los Angeles. Sat in awe of the service in Japan. From all that made something we hope you will enjoy.
Spirits
The spirits are from our private collection of primary Japanese whisky, scotch, and mezcal. The oldest is a bottle of Suntory from the 1930’s. The priciest likely being of of our Karuizawa’s. For our pop-ups we hand pick a few interesting bottles that we find particularly interesting or exceptional.
Repertoire
Some of our spirits
Samaroli No Age
The first edition of the legendary No Age from the late Silvano Samaroli from 1992. A vatting of whiskies between 12 and 45 years with some of his most iconic single malts such as Laphroaig 1967, Ardbeg 1974 and Springbank 1965.
Suntory Special Reserve
This bottle of liquid history is from the late 1930's (possibly 40's) when the company's name was Kotobukiya before it was renamed Suntory. This is some of the first whisky ever produced at the newly founded Yamazaki Distillery.
Hakushu 1989 Sherry Cask
A single first fill Spanish Oak Butt cask of 20 year old Hakushu. Bottled for the 10th anniversary of The Whisky Exchange. Considered by Malt Maniacs as one of the top whiskies ever bottled. A Gold Medal Winner of The Malt Maniacs Awards in 2009.
